"When I started in my career as a bodyworker, all I knew was that I wanted to make a more hands on difference in the world. I knew nothing of vocation and couldn't have anticipated how the body would captivate my attention and give me enough material to study for the rest of my life. Practicing this work has healed my body and awakened my spirt.
Now, more than a decade later, I specialize in working with the nervous system and its intersection with body-mind-spirit. My passion is helping people integrate their past traumas as they find a deeper connection to and understanding of themselves. I am particularly interested in adverse childhood experiences and the shock, overwhelm and trauma of oppression and marginalization - including race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ancestral lineage. Since these lived experiences can often show up in the body as anxiety, depression, and chronic stress, pain and fatigue, that is the focus of my practice.
My curiosity to better understand the body led me to study biodynamic craniosacral therapy. Now, I love teaching people how to interpret its subtle language. My desire to heal led me to study how to resolve trauma through the body and how to recover from my own burnout. I'm still on that journey - healing isn't a destination, but, I'm excited to share what I learn along the way with my clients and students. I want to empower as many people as possible to know that they experts on their own bodies and the healers of their own lives.
Nourish Resilience was founded because I love supporting the change makers of hearts, minds, bodies, spirits and communities. I'm most at home in my work when I can offer respite, being present with my clients and students as they find their feet and catch their breath so they can head back to their work as more powerful forces for healing. That is how I make the greatest impact in the world.
When I'm not practicing bodywork or teaching, I try to do less and spend more time with my family, my friends and my garden."
